Receive and Respond to Email Notifications

As a reviewer, you may receive email notifications when:

  • Another user elects to send you a notification when they add a comment.

  • An applicant adds a comment on an application section you’re assigned to review.

  • Pre-Set and/or Scheduled Email notifications are set to automatically send based on certain parameters. These notifications could let you know things like when a new application is ready for review or remind you to complete a review by a certain date. How and when these are used will depend on your public agency’s setup.

All of these notifications come directly to your email.

Steps

  1. Open the notification email in the email application you normally use. This will usually have come as a no-reply email from your public agency. The subject line and details will vary based on your setup and the type of notification.

  2. Generally, the email contains the reason you’re receiving the notification along with any comments that were added. It may also include a timeframe for taking action.

  3. When you’re ready to take action on the notification, click the View Application button or link in the email. If you’re already logged in to Eproval, you’ll be taken directly to that application on your browser. If you’re not logged in, you’ll be taken to the login screen, which will then direct you to that application after you log in.

Copy of a notification email sent to a reviewer with the link to View the Application highlighted.

Note: DO NOT reply directly to the email. It comes from a no-reply email address that is not monitored. ALWAYS go in to Eproval and take action directly on the application, even when the notification is about a comment someone added for you.

  4. Once you’ve taken the appropriate action, you can file or delete the original email.
