Application Comments vs. Section Comments
Eproval makes it easy for you to communicate and share information with all stakeholders in an application: applicants, reviewers, permit managers, and all departments or agencies involved in the review process. To simplify the application and review process, the primary and most direct way to communicate right on the application you’re working with, either on the overall application, or on each of the individual sections within the application.
Making sure comments and communications are done at the right level is important to ensure the context of the communication is maintained. Some comments pertain to the application as a whole, and not to individual application sections.
Overall Application Comments
These are general comments about the application. They typically include correspondence between the Applicant and Permit Manager relating to general matters and not about a specific topics. An example could be a general question regarding the dates or about the host organization or a previous related event.
While it's not as common for Reviewers to post overall application comments, they can still view all comments made by other stakeholders, which can help inform their review decisions. See the links below for adding and viewing overall application comments.
Section Comments
Section Comments (sometimes referred to as Step Comments) are comments about a particular topic or section within an application. These comments cover correspondence between the Applicant, Administrator and any Assigned Reviewers related to the specific section.
The ability to add or view comments while you’re reviewing a specific application section means everything is available where you need it, and when you need it. No more opening up another app or email, searching for a message or composing a new one. Plus all of the comments you leave can be easily viewed by all the other stakeholders – again, right on that application section.
